Fantasy and Legends Organization (FALO) is an opportunity for creative expression in a welcoming medieval fantasy environment where members explore, develop, encourage, and inspire creativity in themselves and others. The core elements of FALO are fantasy and the support of creative interests that arise from the fantasy ideal.
FALO supports and encourages the exploration of creative endeavors that embrace the fantasy ideal: music, poetry, fiction, sewing, archery, art, brewing, combat, costuming, theatre… whatever positive force you care to bring and are willing to share. Some of these activities are carried out as part of formal FALO events. Other collaborative efforts are coordinated informally by those who share an interest. These endeavors are highlighted in Creative Pursuits.
The fantasy element of FALO is a theatrical merging of our interests that centers around the creation and development of fantasy characters in a fantasy environment. The characters are brought to life at gathers, which are held six times a year from September through April, and at an annual Springfest. Such events can be likened to the gathering of heroes after a quest and are analogous to living history, only the history, the characters, and the setting, are built from the imagination of the participants. More about FALO’s style of fantasy and its inner workings can be found in the World of FALO.
